A Visual Anthropology and Photography Exhibition by Daisy Moncrief

Bodies in Resistance was a photography exhibition held during March, the month of International Women’s Day, at Café Bar Los Amigos, a well-known Latin American venue in Münster, Germany. The walls of the café featured a collection of my original photographs documenting stories of resistance, solidarity, and collective action. What began on 8 March 2019 during the 8M march in Bogotá, Colombia, developed into a broader anthropological exploration of intersectional feminism, protest cultures, and collective memory across borders.

The exhibition opened with a launch event attended by a large audience, particularly from the fields of anthropology, political science, and the wider community at the University of Münster. It was an incredibly enriching experience that sparked meaningful conversations and connections.
